Tonight we had our first real family home evening since Suzy and I arrived in Israel. You'd think that here in the Holy Land there'd be plenty of cool things to do for home evening, but because it gets dark so early, we were forced to get a little creative.
Luckily for us, Dad had the perfect idea for FHE-- learning to cut hair.
Fortunately, we had a willing volunteer . . .
Okay, just kidding. The real camel-- I mean, guinea pig-- was none other than Dad. He insisted he was looking a little too shaggy to meet his students in two days, so we quickly set to work.
Besides, who wouldn't want to have so many hotties running their fingers through his hair?
Besides, who wouldn't want to have so many hotties running their fingers through his hair?
And who wouldn't want this professional to do his hair?
(Can you do mine next, Suz?)

Of course we had to have a movie playing that fit our locale:

Not that Dad needed one.
We even found a scripture to fit the topic:
"Doth not even nature itself teach you that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?"
Good thing Mom had plenty of ice water to keep Dad awake!
Next time you need a haircut, be sure to stop by the Wilson salon!

Don't you mean the Wilson saloon? Ha ha. Good work on our abba.
Woo woo! Is that a bald spot I see right in the back of Dad's head? Was that your portion? :) Nice work guys!
Ha! And we almost made it through the entire movie! --Mom
To make the evening even more exhilarating, I think we should have run around Dad in the chair belting "It's Family Home Evening tonight", each with a pair of scissors in our hands. THAT's when it would have become a truly memorable fhe
Why was Suzy pictured as an "expert" and I got the shaft title of "beginner"? :) Just kidding. Poor Dad. He definitely did have to sit there for a loooong time. :)
Nice lesson! Next up, Jacob. Only for the experts. My most recent attempt almost ended with physical violence.
