Snowfall

(I know I already posted one poem today, but since the last one was rather depressing I thought I'd post something more cheerful to lighten the mood.)

A soft stillness outside the window
A flurry of frigid
feathery flakes
drifting daintily down,
frosting the fences
topping the trees
with a white icing
sweeter than sugar
fine and fluffy
the purity of a peaceful
new winter morn

(By the way, is anyone even reading all these poetry posts?  I haven't been getting any comments lately, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm posting too frequently for you all to keep up with commenting, or if I'm just boring you all to death.)

I am reading them. You are a great poet. I think you should look into making your poems into a book. Spencer could take photographs to match the poems. Like this one, I bet you could do a picture of the two of you with snowflakes in the background...
Blurb.com has been great for me as far as doing book stuff (thanks to Spencer's recommendation). This could be quite a priceless heirloom for you guys.

It's hard to try to leave a comment that isn't super lame sounding after such eloquent posts!

No kidding. I for one am not commenting because I am busy feeding all day. But your poems are beautiful, and that would be such a great idea to make them into a book with your own photography. I like the line about "frosting the fences".

I agree with Krista...a joint effort of Spencer's photos and your lyrics is a must!

I'm reading them! I agree, though, my comments are way too dumb to go after your poetry. You are so talented, Kim! Post more! And publish them, agreed!
